DAY 1 – SANDAKAN / MY NATURE RESORT

Pickup from Sandakan Hotel / Sandakan & transfer to My Nature Resort.

MY Nature Resort-A boardwalk is built with approx. 1,500 ft. long, going up and down structure for you to explore before dark. The Guided night walk will be conducted by our in-house guide before or after dinner depending on weather conditions. We do provide a shuttle van for you to Sepilok that is about 2 km from the resort or Rainforest Discovery Centre that is about half km from the resort.

Please bring along your swimming suit if you wish to swim at our swimming pool that has a special design facing the rainforest. Please make sure to be ready before 18:00 hrs at “The Flying Squirrel” Platform to witness these amazing creatures in action.

DAY 2 – MY NATURE RESORT / SELINGAN ISLAND

Breakfast at the restaurant

09:15 hrs Proceed to Jetty for boat to Selingan Island
10:15 hrs Scheduled boat to Selingan island, check in chalet with attached bathroom.
12:30 hrs Lunch and free at leisure
19:30 hrs Dinner and start the program.

Selingan Turtle Island
After lunch, free at leisure until dinner time at 19:30 hrs. You can swim at the designated beach area and snorkelling gears are available for rent with charges on the island.

Before going for dinner, make sure all your important/valuable things are with you and do not leave it in your room. Please do not go back to your room after dinner because at any time, the rangers will call to observe turtle laying eggs. Transfer the eggs to the hatchery and if there is any young turtle hatching, an opportunity to observe the release of the baby turtles to the sea.

Remarks: The Selingan Island chalet is about 500m away from the beach. There is NO PORTER Service on the island. Therefore, you have to carry your own luggage from the boat to your chalet. We highly advise you to re-pack your clothing for your duration stay in order to have a more comfortable stay at Selingan Island. We do have a luggage room available at our jetty.

DAY 3 – SELINGAN ISLAND/KINABATANGAN RIVER LODGE – SUKAU

08:00hrs Proceed to Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre
09:30-09:50 hrs Sepilok Outdoor nursery
10:00 hrs Feeding time
10:30 hrs Sun Bear Conservation Centre
11:30 hrs depart to Sukau
13:15 hrs Lunch at Sukau
14:00 hrs Check in Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge

Highlight of the day
16:30 hrs River cruise to Menanggul River – a small tributary in Lower Kinabatangan, which contain richest nutrient in the darker river water attracts wildlife and commonly seen: crocodile, proboscis, macaques, kingfisher, and orang utan etc.

19:30 hrs Dinner at lodge and overnight Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.

DAY 4 – KINABATANGAN RIVER LODGE – SUKAU

08:00 hrs Depart to Sandakan by land, lunch at The Airport Garden.
12:15 hrs Drop off at Sandakan airport
